Xara Wademan
Born in March 2006, Xara Wademan is an award-winning emerging artist from a strong artistic lineage. Australian by birth and residence, Xara travels frequently to New Zealand to spend time with her family, many of whom are professional artists.
Xara is the grand-daughter of artists Spike and Sue Wademan, whose guidance has shaped her artistic development since childhood. She is currently mentored by reowned New Zealand artist, Ivan Clarke, her step-grandfather.
From an early age, birds have been an integral part of Xara’s life. The close bond she shares with birdlife is a central source of inspiration for her current body of work.
Working with oils on board, she paints with fine detail for which she and her grandfather are known.
