Sina Sibler
Artist Bio - Sina Sibler
Sina Sibler is an artist based in Te Anau, on the edge of Fiordland National Park in Southland, New Zealand. Working primarily in black-and-white ink, graphite, and ballpoint pen, she creates intricate drawings inspired by the region’s rich biodiversity and dramatic landscapes.
With a background in conservation biology, Sina brings a scientific awareness to her art, exploring the subtle relationships between plants, animals, and their environments. Her work is shaped by time spent wandering the forests of Fiordland, where patterns in moss, bark, and bird song become the foundation of detailed, immersive compositions. Through her drawings, she aims to encourage viewers to pause, look closely, and reconnect with the often-overlooked details of the natural world.
