Maisie Chilton

Pōneke/Wellington based artist and poet Maisie Chilton approaches 
art-making in an urgent way to address, accept and heal aspects of her complex lived experiences of becoming a parent as a neurodiverse trauma survivor, living with Cerebral Palsy.
A self- taught artist, Chilton actively processes and heals psychological and physical tensions through her art practice.
In 2021 Maisie was awarded The Springboard Award by The Arts foundation Te Tumu Toi identifying her as an emerging New Zealand artist with outstanding potential. 

We are excited to be representing Maisie as she further develops her career as a significant emerging New Zealand painter to be greatly admired.
