ARTISTS BIO

Anne-Marie Hamilton is an award-winning printmaker and frottage artist based in Murihiku/Southland, Aotearoa New Zealand. 

Known for her intuitive and tactile approach, Anne-Marie works with graphite rubbing techniques to capture textures from wood, stone, and the built environment.

Her practice explores memory, place, and the emotional resonance of surfaces—inviting viewers to engage with the unseen stories woven into the world around them.

Through her creative studio, Amo BArtlab, she facilitates participatory and reflective encounters that honour process, texture, and connection.
